Mary Harper at Chiddingstone Castle Literary Festival

We are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring Mary Harper’s event at Chiddingstone Castle Literary Festival from the 4th of May 2019. This four day event of workshops, talks, and performances takes place annually in the historic house and on the grounds of Chiddingstone Castle.

This year’s festival is an exciting programme spilling over with riches and diversity, including what looks to be a fascinating conversation about African Politics & Al Shabaab. Mary Harper, The Africa Editor of BBC World Service & author of the acclaimed book “Getting Somalia Wrong,” will be diving into this topic alongside Edward Paice, Director of Africa Research Institute and author of “Tip & Run: The Untold Tragedy Of The Great War in Africa.” Both Mary & Edward have previously been judges of the inaugural Haller Prize for Development Journalism, which was created to promote African-led discussions around sustainable development.

Due to popular demand, the line-up for this 4 day event is continually growing, with more inspirational authors attending than ever before and plenty of exciting workshops for all ages to enjoy.
