Mary (18) used to plant things at school but anything that grew was devastated by pests and disease.

Her only response was an expensive and damaging chemical pesticide. At Mtopanga, she was taught how to use organic pesticides instead. Now her crops grow better than ever before and she is not damaging the soil by using chemicals.
