Our Power, Our Planet: Haller Marks Earth Day 2025
Earth Day 2025 calls for a renewable revolution. With Kenya leading in geothermal energy and Haller supporting smallholder communities with sustainable power, the future is green.
Part of the plan: Building biodiversity in Kenya
Celebrating International Day of Plant Health 2024
On International Day of Plant Health, we recognise the global challenge of plant health that affects livelihoods worldwide.
At Haller, inspired by Dr. Rene Haller's work, we are committed to supporting and celebrating local smallholder farmers in adopting pesticide-free practices that respect biodiversity and improve crop health. And increasing access to sustainable agricultural practices that ensure safe food and trade, enhancing community livelihoods globally!
Celebrating World Biodiversity Day
In 1970 Dr Rene Haller assumed the seemingly insurmountable task of reintegrating flora and fauna into the quarry.
GravityLight Donation Brings Lighting to Off-Grid Communities
Clean energy sourcing has formed an imperative part of Haller’s mission to assist rural Kenyan communities. The introduction of GravityLights provides a self-sustainable lighting system for the communities that Haller works with.
Haller & Gravity Light
Haller has teamed up with Gravity Light Foundation to trial sustainable lighting in Haller communities. Gravity Light Foundation Commercial Director, Caroline Angus and Haller CEO Alia Malik met in London through social enterprise network, On Purpose. Haller projects in Kenya include a renewable energy component and methods have been trialled from biogas to solar charging stations. But Haller still had not found a durable low cost technology that would fit its communities.
