At Haller, we believe education is the key to a sustainable future. Our award-winning, solar-powered Education Centre in Mombasa has been a beacon of learning since 2006, home to Kenya’s first free children’s library. Every year, over 5,000 children from informal settlements visit this safe space, gaining access to books, IT resources, and vocational training.

Now, we’re looking for a passionate volunteer to help revitalise our children’s library in a hands-on, impactful way! This exciting project will take place over 4-6 weeks in April and May 2025.

Bees play a critical role in the global food chain, pollinating around three-quarters of the world’s flowering plants which produce 90% of the world’s food. The FAO has estimated that one out of every three bites of food we eat depends on bee pollination.

Studies have demonstrated the increased penetration of mobile technology across Africa. But to build a more up to date picture, specifically focused on the use of technology in agriculture, Felix Young set out to survey smallholder farmers across 15 African countries.

In December 2023, the Haller team in Kenya conducted farmer training sessions in partnership with the Osiligi Charity Projects. An exciting step in our mission to scale knowledge of regenerative farming in Kenya and beyond.
